Over the past weekend, HLT Sp. z o.o. had the honor and pleasure of participating in a special event aimed at supporting children from Głuchołazy who were affected by the devastating flood that hit our town on September 14-15, 2024. This disaster damaged almost half of the city, leaving many residents homeless. Destroyed houses, torn bridges, and damaged roads have made daily life in Głuchołazy extremely challenging. Many people lost their jobs, and the lack of access to water, gas, and electricity only worsened the situation.
HLT Sp. z o.o. – Helping the local community in difficult times
As HLT Sp. z o.o., we feel a strong responsibility to support the local community, especially during such challenging moments. By organizing fun activities for children, we wanted to give them a moment of relief and allow them to forget about the recent hardships, even if only for a while. It was a time filled with smiles, joy, and a sense of togetherness, giving families and children a chance to relax.
We were not alone in organizing this event. Thanks to the enormous support and commitment of many institutions and private individuals, it was possible to create a space where the youngest could once again feel joy and safety. Special thanks go to the Center Banderoza in Głuchołazy for providing the venue and creating the perfect conditions for the activities. We also received support from Leśna Planeta from Szczecin, Factory of Children's Smiles from Opole, and the Dr Clown Foundation from Opole. Their involvement and commitment made this event possible on such a large scale.
We also want to acknowledge Dara Kebab from Rzeszów for providing delicious meals for all participants, as well as the Tułowice Cultural Center and the Social Welfare Center, which actively helped organize this event. And none of this would have been possible without the help of volunteers, moms from the Gaj neighborhood in Wrocław, and everyone who dedicated their time and energy to making our initiative a reality.
Our goal was not only to entertain the children but also to send a message to the local community that they are not alone in this difficult time. The disaster that struck Głuchołazy destroyed not only homes but also the sense of security for many. We understand that rebuilding the city and normal life will be a long process, but together, with mutual support and solidarity, we can face these challenges.
Smiles and joy – A time of togetherness
At HLT, we believe that helping others is not just a duty but a privilege. Moments like this show how important community and mutual support are. That’s why we engage in initiatives aimed at providing real help to those in need, especially within our local community. The children affected by the flood are the future of our town, and by giving them joy and a moment of relief, we also give them hope for a better tomorrow.
During the event, children could participate in various activities, from face painting and art workshops to outdoor games and activities. Every moment spent laughing and playing was priceless to us, and seeing their happy faces confirmed how valuable these initiatives are. While our actions cannot undo the material losses caused by the flood, we believe that by supporting the youngest, we can help restore their sense of safety and normalcy.
This event demonstrated the importance of cooperation and mutual help in times of crisis. We want to thank everyone who contributed to its organization and execution. Thanks to you, we were able to give children and their families hope for better days. Together, we built more than just an event – we created a memory that will stay with these children for a long time and reminded them that even in the hardest moments, we can count on each other.
HLT Sp. z o.o. – Our future plans
HLT Sp. z o.o. will continue its efforts to support the local community and those affected by the flood. We know there is still much work ahead, but through initiatives like this, we can show that together, we can overcome any crisis.
